Mrs. Audrey Mae Howard Cary Little

Audrey Mae Howard Cary Little, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend was born on June 30, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue through the many lives she touched. Audrey lived a life defined by perseverance, compassion, and love for her family. After earning her GED, she continued her education and achieved an accounting degree, a testament to her dedication. While Audrey accomplished many things, her greatest joy was her family. She was mother to three daughters and helped raise and support multiple generations. Her home and heart were always open, and she gave her time and love to those around her. She created memories, offered wisdom, and provided support that shaped the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Audrey shared 13 loving years with her beloved life partner, Bill Moncrief, who stood by her side until the very end and brought companionship, love, support, and joy to her later years. She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Eldredge (William) of North Little Rock, Julia Ponder (Paul Barre) of Little Rock, and Tina Wooldridge (Tim Bateman) of DeWitt; her grandchildren: Brittany Kirkdoffer (Tillmen) of Stuttgart, Blake Ponder (Sarah) of Alexander, Troy Hester of DeWitt, and Amanda Morris (Christian) of DeWitt; and two great-grandsons, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Audrey is also survived by her siblings: Harvey Howard, Jr. of Cabot; Charles Thomas (Christine) of Roanoke, VA; David Howard (fiancé) of Jacksonville; Beryl Sisemore (Shonda)of Wills Point, TX; Ted Howard (Robert Pruss) of Little Rock; Janet Saunders (Dewayne, deceased) of Benton; Debbie Tyler (Ricky) of Bryant; Nina Bradshaw (Pete, deceased) of St. Joe; and others who shared in the bond of family and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Howard (Louise) and Frankie Wright (Wister); her brothers Gary Howard and Neal Wright; and her sister Teresa Wright. Audrey will be remembered for her generous heart, big personality, and her love of family. Her legacy is reflected in the generations she helped raise and the love she planted in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though her family and friends mourn her passing, they find comfort knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her memory will forever remain a blessing, and her love will continue to live on through her family. Rest peacefully, Audrey. You were loved, and you will be forever missed. Visitation will be September 11 from 10-11:00 at Essex Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow in McKewen Cemetery.
