Mr. Charles Ray Keffer

Charles Ray Keffer of DeWitt, Arkansas went to his heavenly home on January 20, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1966, to William and Lolita Keffer. He accepted Jesus into his heart as a youth and was baptized at Reydell Baptist Church. Charles Ray, grew up on the family farm and learned to hunt, fish and trap at a very early age. He spent most of his life working on the farm and enjoying the outdoors. His love for hunting and fishing allowed him to meet people that became dear friends. He loved helping introduce hunting and fishing to his nephews and then to his great nephews. He would even bring in these ice chests of fish for them to look at and touch if they wanted or sometimes he would bring a giant catfish by for them to stand beside. Charles Ray was known as someone that would do anything he could to help others. He loved bringing fresh fruits and vegetables from his garden to his Momma and to his other family and friends. He was just like his Momma, making sure everyone got fed. He loved westerns and good comedy. He also loved his critters. He had labs throughout the years that he trained to hunt and were spoiled when they weren’t hunting. He has had fun spoiling his little dogs with his wife, Terri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lolita Bennett Keffer; his maternal grandparents Henry and Nora Bennett; his paternal grandparents Oscar Lee and Amelia Keffer; his niece Kerry Keffer; and his nephew Grant Keffer. He is survived by his wife, Terri Burrell Keffer; his step-daughter Stevie Malone (wife Kara); brother-in-law Walter (Buddy) Burrell; sister Mary Ann Case (husband Ronnie); brothers Steve Keffer (wife Karen) and David Keffer; niece Lisa Riggins (husband Greg); nephews Lee Keffer (girlfriend Brittany) and Dylan Keffer (Aubrey); 2 great nieces and 7 great nephews; and by many other family members and friends. Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Essex Funeral Home with graveside service following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery In Ethel, Arkansas.
