Mrs. Nina Mildred Jones Fraize

Nina Mildred Jones Fraize was born August 21, 1936 in Ethel, AR to Elmer and Annie Jones. She went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2024 in DeWitt, AR. Our beloved “Mamaw” was surrounded by her family when she left this earth to join her loved ones in Heaven. She is preceded in death by her husband (Calvin Fraize, Jr.), her parents, her brother Burl Jones, and a grandson-in-love Moose Anderson. The second eldest of five children, she had a tremendous love and admiration for her brothers and sisters (Levinia Self, Earl Jones, and Hope Emerson). She is survived by her two children, Ronnie (Hilda) Fraize of Vilonia and Lela Ann Fraize of Mountain Home. She also leaves behind her most precious treasures, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lance (Kari), Morgan (Nick), Gabby, Braxton, Landon, Carson, Savannah, and Sawyer and her honorary grandson, Ron. Anyone who ever had a conversation with Mamaw knew that she was crazy about her grandchildren and greats. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. She found joy in the Lord, her family, animals, cooking, sewing, following her grandchildren to every sporting event they had, and traveling anywhere and everywhere. Although her death was expected after her recent stroke, the loss of our Mamaw leaves a deep wound and a hole in our hearts. We will always feel like her 87 years on earth was not enough. We were blessed by her presence in our lives, as she was always there for us and loved unconditionally. One thing we will forever miss is her “dessert first” way of life. She never missed an opportunity to eat dessert, and would eat it before her meal every time. She was everyone’s Mamaw. She never met a stranger, and her generosity was one of her best qualities. She was a long-time member of St. Charles Baptist Church. We will miss her immensely, but rejoice that she is in the arms of Jesus, as we are confident in scripture that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We know she is in Heaven where dessert surely comes first! Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at St. Charles Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Charles Baptist Church or to the St. Charles Cemetery.
