Mr. Taylor Klein Fox

Taylor Klein Fox, age 32, passed from this life on August 7, 2025. He was born at home in DeWitt, Arkansas, on January 31, 1993. Taylor was the youngest of his brothers, always tagging along on their adventures—whether running through the woods, hunting, fishing, or simply soaking up life’s best moments. At age 7, he killed his first deer, sparking a lifelong love for the outdoors. Duck hunting was his favorite, but he was happy anywhere there was a rod, a rifle, or a campfire. Taylor attended DeWitt Public School until the 10th grade and then completed his education through The American Academy. At age 14, he began his first job with YCC, a youth work program at the refuge. His favorite truck of those he owned was his ’96 black Chevy. On March 10, 2013, he was baptized by his father at the General Assembly of the Church of the First Born in DeWitt, Arkansas—a day made even more memorable because two others stepped forward in faith that same day. His last job was working full-time at Conoco, which he truly enjoyed—not just for the work itself, but for the people he interacted with every day. He also had a deep love for mowing. Over the years, he cared for three cemeteries and seven yards, saying, “Once I’m on the mower, I can just clear my mind.” Taylor never met a stranger. From the grocery store to the riverbank, his big smile and easy laugh drew people in. He never hesitated to help anyone, no matter who they were or what they needed. He loved people fiercely and gave generously—sometimes even giving the spare tire off his own truck. When his brothers came to town, it didn’t matter if they were grown men in their 30s—Taylor would still say, “I think I saw something in the yard,” which was code for “grab a gun.” They might not kill anything (and might even miss), but there was always a good story to tell afterward. It was a time to talk and a time to be together Taylor had a gift for making others laugh, could nap anywhere (especially in the woods), and never missed a chance to tease his nieces and nephews. He learned his love for mowing from his mom and his love for building fires from his brothers. He and his father enjoyed running trot-lines together. Taylor had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karla Fox; grandparents, John Carl and Bonnie Keaton, Virgil and Ila Jean Wright, and Stanley Fox. He is survived by his grandmother, Scharlott Fox; his father, Ricky Fox, and wife, Peggy Fox; brothers, Jarred Fox of Ripley and Ryan and Naomi Fox of Hobart; nephews, Alex and Clark; nephew and nieces Kizer, Kenzie, Kallie, their mother Erica, many friends, and extended family who loved him deeply. Taylor will be dearly missed—for his kindness, his stories, and the joy he brought wherever he went. Visitation will be August 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. August 14 at The General Assembly and Church of the First Born with burial following in Thompson Cemetery.
