Gregory Charles Horton, 43, departed this life June 16, 2019. He was born in Stuttgart, AR on April 24, 1976, to Bernie Sam Horton and Charlene Sue White Horton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Greg was a member of St. Charles Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister Susan Watkins and her husband Dennis, and his niece Ellie Watkins all of DeWitt, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Greg graduated from DeWitt High School in 1995, and Nashville Auto Diesel Mechanic School in 1996. Greg worked at Cummings and Kenworth before starting his own business, Horton Repair Service in St. Charles. He loved fishing, hunting, working in his shop, cooking for all his friends, and farming. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 21 at Essex Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 2:00. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
