Mr. Harold A. Simpson

October 9, 1934 - May 3, 2018

Harold A. Simpson of Stuttgart, departed this life on May 3, 2018. He was surrounded by his family. Harold was born October 9, 1934 in the Brewer community, where he was a lifelong resident. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Gaynell Simpson, and brothers Jasper and Leland Simpson. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 60 years Billie Simpson, brothers Wince Simpson of Forrest City, O.W. Simpson and Wilford (Dorty) Simpson of the Brewer Community, Russell Simpson (Gladys) of DeWitt, Letha Phelps of Crenshaw, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews. Harold was a Methodist. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a farmer of his own farm for 59 years. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. May 5 at Essex Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 3:00 May 6 at Bayou Meto Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. The family request memorials be made to the Bayou Meto Cemetery, P.O. Box 511, DeWitt, AR 72042.
