Mr. Harold Ray Wright

June 30, 1961 - January 20, 2022

Harold Ray Wright, 60, of DeWitt, passed away at his home January 20, 2022, with his loved ones by his side. He was born on June 30, 1961, to the late Ulyess "Pot" Wright, Sr. and Littie Wright. He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Bro. Raymond Mannis in July 1979. He started working at an early age for MECO Seed and had a love for the farming industry. He later worked for DeWitt Fertilizer and Whitmore Fertilizer, just to name a few, and became very close to several co-workers. Harold married the love of his life, Carla Jo Cash, on February 19, 1988. After 14 years of marriage, as God had promised, He blessed them with a son, Brady Luke, born on April 13, 2002. On December 13, 2004, another son, Logan Kain, was born fulfilling God's promise of blessing them with children, which filled their home with joy. Hunting and sharing his love hunting with his boys was his passion. Harold is survived by his wife, Carla, his two sons, Luke and Logan, two brothers Elvin (Mary) and Timmy (Whitney) Wright, one sister, Anita Wright all of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his parents Ulyess and Littie Wright, two brothers Ulyess, Jr. and Calvin, three infant sisters and two infant brothers. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. January 23 at Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
