Mr. Jerry C. Fly

February 18, 1950 - January 25, 2020

Jerry C. Fly, 69, of DeWitt passed away January 25, 2020. He was born February 18, 1950, in DeWitt to Wayne and Sophie Fly. Jerry was a retired farmer and a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He graduated from DeWitt High School and during his high school years played football for the DeWitt Dragons. Jerry graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and his years there started his love of Razorback sports. He enjoyed water skiing, hunting and fishing. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Wayne Fly. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Boyd Fly; one son David Craig Fly and his wife ,Amy, of Maumelle; four grandchildren Katie Beth, Abby, Anna, and Joe Fly; special niece Tasha Herman and her husband John of DeWitt; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with burial in DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
