Myrl Divine Mannis Simpson, 74, of DeWitt passed away January 28, 2016. She was born July 27, 1941 in DeWitt to William Dale Mannis, Sr., and Eunice Divine Wright Mannis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Joe Simpson; three sisters Edith Faulkner, Callene Ward, and Arlene Beaton; four brothers Dale Mannis, Howard Mannis, Bernard Mannis, and Carlon Mannis. Survivors include her children Susie Roach, Marsha Pace, Harvey Simpson, and Jeff Simpson; two brothers Doug and Elmo Mannis; two sisters Sandra Moreno and Carmella Simpson all of DeWitt; six grandchildren Bobbi and Freddie Pace, Brooke Savage, Harvey J. Simpson, Kelsey Simpson, and Jenny Roach; and two great grandchildren Shyla Fitzpatrick and Christopher Roach. Funeral services are at 2:00 and visitation is 1-2 p.m. before the funeral on January 30 at Essex Funeral Home with burial in DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. www.essexfuneralhome.com
